We are one of the longest established opticians in the Middlesbrough area. The business was started in 1925 by William and Evelyn Cooper and since then the business has grown and changed with the times, but we pride ourselves on still being able to offer a personal and professional service to our patients combined with quality products and value for money.

Like most opticians, we provide private and free NHS sight tests and contact lens fitting and aftercare. However we are also part of the Middlesbrough Emergency Eye Care Scheme (Coulby Newham practice) and North Yorkshire Low Vision scheme (Stokesley practice), as well as Teesside Vision for Children.

The practices are open six days a week, 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 4pm on Saturdays. Appointments outside these times can be made if required. Free parking is available at both practices.

The practices carry a wide range of frames from budget to top end, with each practice having a different selection of designer names. Customers are sometimes suprised to find that our prices are extremely competitive when compared with the big names for equivalent frames and lenses, plus our cheerful and helpful staff will make choosing your next pair of specs a pleasurable experience in an unpressured enviroment.

We are also one of the few opticians in the North East to offer ortho k - a revolutionary system which gives clear vision all day without the need for glasses or contact lenses, and is a viable alternative to laser.
